The PCBN cutting tools have good heat conductivity whose is 13 times to cemented carbide. CBN is a kind of ideal material to make nonferrous metal cutters as CBN has better heat conductivity and chemical stability than diamond furthermore it is resistant to elevated temperatures 1300-1500and inert to Fe group materials. PCBN cutters have good rigidity because it is higher at 1000 than the rigidity of cemented carbide at room temperature. The good precision and surface quality (Ra 0.2-2.0) make it possible for turning to substitute grinding with little abrasion.
